Michigan agency proposes cutting back on regulated air pollutants - and on red tape for businesses
Associated Press - LANSING — Michigan regulators plan to reduce the number of pollutants automatically regulated when companies seek air-pollution permits. The Department of Environmental Quality released rules Thursday. It says defining fewer low-toxicity substances as toxins reduces "unnecessary red tape." Domino's names treasurer Jeffrey Lawrence as new CFO
Crain's Detroit Business - Domino's Pizza Inc. announced Jeffrey D. Lawrence, 41, as its new CFO, replacing Michael T. Lawton, who will retire after 16 years with the Ann Arbor-based company. Lawrence, currently treasurer of the company, will begin in the new position at the end of August after a transition, according to a news release issued Thursday. He joined Domino's in 2000, and has held a variety of positions. Lawrence also will have the title of executive vice president, and will report to J. Patrick Doyle,

Associated Press - Volunteers are working to save pieces of the city's jazz history from a long-vacant building in downtown Detroit. The nonprofit Detroit Sound Conservancy is trying to salvage items belonging to the former Graystone International Jazz Museum collection left abandoned inside the Book Building since 2009.
